BioShock® van 2K Games nu verkrijgbaar voor PLAYSTATION®3 systeem

Het Game of the Year 2007 komt er nu aan voor het PLAYSTATION 3 systeem, met verbluffende nieuwe mogelijkheden en inhoud

Breda  - 20 oktober 2008 - 2K Games, een label van Take-Two Interactive Software, Inc. (NASDAQ: TTWO), kondigt aan dat BioShock® voor het PLAYSTATION®3 computer entertainment system nu in België in de winkel ligt. BioShock was wereldwijd al een daverend succes op het Xbox 360® videogame en entertainment systeem van Microsoft en als Games for Windows®. BioShock voor het PLAYSTATION 3 systeem zet deze zegetocht voort met zeer hoge scores van Gunk en Officieel Playstation Magazine.

BioShock voor het PLAYSTATION 3 systeem werd ontwikkeld door 2K Boston, 2K Australia, 2K Marin en Digital Extremes. De game heeft nieuwe inhoud meegekregen waardoor de spelervaring nog net iets opwindender en uitgebreider wordt. Nieuwe mogelijkheden van BioShock voor PLAYSTATION 3 systeem zijn onder andere de Survivor spelmodus, de Trophy ondersteuning en gloednieuwe Add-On Game Content die je vanaf 20 november kunt downloaden. Op dit ogenblik staat er op het PlayStation®Network een gratis demo klaar waarmee gamers het eerste deel van BioShock kunnen uitspelen.

BioShock is een op een verhaallijn gebaseerde actiegame. Gamers overtreffen zichzelf terwijl ze door een overweldigende, maar ook angstaanjagende onderwaterwereld reizen. De speler heeft enerzijds enorme krachten, maar wordt anderzijds genadeloos opgejaagd door de genetisch gemuteerde inwoners van Rapture, een geheimzinnige en fascinerende onderwaterstad in art-decostijl waar de utopische droom in een nachtmerrie is veranderd. BioShock stelt niet alleen de aanpassings- en overlevingscapaciteiten van de spelers op de proef. Omdat zij voortdurend moeten beslissen welke relatie zij met de inwoners van Rapture aangaan, is de game ook een uitdaging voor hun morele waarden. De slimme AI geeft de game een groot aanpassingsvermogen, waardoor een ontmoeting nooit twee keer op dezelfde manier verloopt. Met de talrijke instelmogelijkheden zetten gamers het spel helemaal naar hun speelstijl.

BioShock voor PLAYSTATION 3 system is nu verkrijgbaar. De game kreeg een PEGI 18+ rating. Ook verkrijgbaar voor de Xbox 360 en als Games for Windows.
